Lesson Pricing & Package Update De Feys Equi Health & Wellness

We are transitioning to a monthly payment structure for all lesson clients.

  • Current clients: This change will take effect June 1st. If you would like to begin earlier, you may opt in starting April 1st.

  • New clients: Monthly billing will begin April 1st.

    Cancellation & Make-Up Policy

    • Sessions will end at their scheduled time, even when arriving late 

    • Clients who arrive more than 20 minutes late without notice may not receive ride time that day. This is at the discretion of the instructor 

    • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

    Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a forfeited lesson and are not eligible for a make-up. Exceptions may be made only in cases of emergency.

    Trainer Cancellations

    • If the instructor cancels due to weather, illness, travel, or emergencies, a make-up lesson will always be provided

    Weather Cancellations: 

    • Lessons will be cancelled when the feels like is 25 below. Under 30-25 degrees F this will be up to the discretion of the instructor and student. 

    • Lessons will be cancelled due to sever weather warnings 

    • Steady Winds over 20 mph. 

    • Air Quality Index is 100 or above.

    • If weather or environmental conditions impact the safety of horses or students, lessons may be shifted to horsemanship sessions rather than canceled.

      Make-Up Lessons

      • Riders who cancel with proper notice may attend one of the designated monthly make-up days.

      • Make-up lessons must be used within two designated make-up days and do not roll over.

      • Each rider is allowed one make-up lesson per month.

      No-Shows

      Missed lessons without notice are considered no-shows and are automatically forfeited.

    Payment Information

    Billing Schedule

    • Invoices for the upcoming month will be sent during the last week of the current month.

    • Payments are due between the 1st and 5th of each month to secure your spot.

    Payment Methods

    • Cash, check, Venmo, or bank transfer are accepted.

    • Automatic recurring payments are available upon request.

    Shared Lesson Spots / Multiple Riders

    • Families sharing a lesson spot are responsible for dividing the total package cost themselves.

    • The full package amount must be paid upfront; the instructor does not manage individual splits.

    • Each student in a shared spot or sibling package must follow the same cancellation and make-up policy.

    Late Payments

    • Payments not received by the 5th of the month will incur a $20 late fee.

    • Lessons may be suspended until payment is received.

    Refunds

    • Lessons are non-refundable.

    • Make-ups are offered according to the cancellation & make-up policy.
